Can you believe it all started from just a single bamboo handle? That’s right; Everything Mary was started from just one bamboo handbag handle.

You may not know this, most of the EM team started in the fashion industry, primarily ladies handbags and accessories. Every aspect from designing, production & sales all the way down to inventory management; we had our hands in it. Combine that with Mary Taylor’s lifetime passion for art, color and creating; that’s how the whole thing got started…

Let’s just say, being a leader in the handbag business for over a decade gives you certain credibility. It’s because of that reputation that prompted a large retail craft chain merchandising executive to contact EM’s founder, JJ Tartaglia, and give him a much unexpected challenge. That challenge was to supply them with a bamboo purse handle for a then, very small “build your own” handbag section. That bamboo handle turned into a highly successful program that propelled us fully into the craft industry.

Since that time, Everything Mary is proud to have expanded our craft lines to include numerous innovative and trend right soft side and plastic storage items that can be found in most major craft store chains. And don’t think for even a second that we have forgotten our roots! EM totes and backpacks can still be found in department and discount stores today.

Even though we are extremely proud of the Everything Mary brand and recognize that is one of the fastest growing brands in and out of the craft world, we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge the many proprietary brands (or private label) that we develop for our large retail customers. And even though Everything Mary may not get the credit, these diverse brands make up a huge part of Everything Mary’s portfolio and we are just as proud of them. So just because you don’t see the name Everything Mary on it, doesn’t mean it’s not Everything Mary!

With the kind of rapid growth and success that EM has experienced, some companies would chose to just sit back and rest on their laurels. Not us! Part of our dream has always been to produce a product that is “Made in the USA”. That dream became a reality when Everything Mary acquired Texas based company, BagWorks. A domestic manufacture of canvas items, BagWorks has a long history of producing an affordable yet high quality line of canvas products. And with BagWorks domestic production capabilities, we are not limited to just selling to only the large chain retail stores any longer. We are able to fully service smaller independent and specialty stores with our large assortment of canvas products with very small minimums!

Whew! That’s us in a nut shell. At least for now… There’s one thing you can always be sure of with Everything Mary, nothing ever stays the same!
